Mr Ulrich Rosendahl is a renowned Consultant Cardiac Surgeon based at the Royal Brompton Hospital since 2012. He specialises in advance complex cardiac surgery.
Mr Rosendahl graduate from the Westfaelische Wilhelms Universitaet, Germany in 1988. He began his specialist training at Texas Heart Insitute under the tutelage of Dr Denton A Cooley. Mr Rosendahl went on to train in general and vascular surgery in Johannesburg General Hospital with Professor Johannes Albertus Myburgh. He completed his training at the University of the Witwatersrand. He took up a cardiac surgery training post at the German Heart Centre in Berlin and then went on to co-found the Heart Centre Lahr, Germany. He was appointed to his current post in 2012. Mr Rosendahl is very experienced with over 30 years experience in cardiac surgery and he has performed over 5000 open heart procedures.
Outside his clinical practice, Mr Rosendahl is actively involved in research holding a post in the National Institute of Health Research Biomedical Unit and he has published in a number of peer-review journals. He is an honorary senior lecturer at Imperial College, London.
