Mr Vibhash Mishra qualified in India prior to completing a six-year rotation in urology in London, including the last two years as a fellow in Female and Reconstructive Urology at the prestigious Institute of Urology at UCLH, London. He is currently a consultant urological surgeon at Royal Free Hospital, London where, besides his clinical duties, he is closely involved in undergraduate medical education at the UCL Medical School.
His principal clinical interests are urinary incontinence and bladder dysfunction, but his vast experience also covers patients with haematuria, bladder tumour, penoscrotal problems, prostate disorders, urethral stricture and recurrent UTI. Mr Mishra is also heavily involved in teaching medical students at UCL Medical School.
Known for his patient-conscious approach to healthcare, Mr Mishra believes medicine is more of an art than science and that care must be provided with gentleness, sensitivity and respect. He considers his listening ability and easy approachability as his two greatest assets. He is calm and unhurried and explains the pros and cons of any recommended treatment at length in a comprehensible language. Consequently, his patients strike an instant rapport with him and leave the consultation knowing exactly how to contact him directly in case of any problems.
In his personal life, Mr Mishra enjoys music, cinema and sports.
