Mr Jamil was very professional and very empathetic towards me. He explained fully what my diagnosis was and explained in detail the surgery I needed. He was such a lovely man, very thorough when explaining everything from surgery to recovery. Highly recommended!!...

Treated like a person rather than just another patient

In Outpatients Mr Jamil was always welcoming and took his time to explain what to expect. At the time of surgery I always felt confident in his care. In follow up appointments he was careful to make sure that all was well before discharging me. If anything, I have been able to achieve more than he suggested would be possible.

I had a knee injury that I hadn't sought treatment for, for 3-4 months believing it to be a form of tendonitis. Despite the logistical issues surrounding Covid 19 at that time, Mr Jamil was one of few consultants who could offer a prompt, efficient and effective service. As an avid sportsman, keen to resume training, and having been made redundant earlier in the year and now personally funding my private health care, I found "thekneeconsultant" team extremely empathetic with my particular situation and dilemma. Through their understanding of my plight and their own endeavours they managed to schedule all the necessary scans, consultations and the operation itself in a professional, well organized, short time frame. They even managed to offer me an earlier operation date which I gratefully accepted. I found Mr Jamil extremely personable, and the explanations during his consultations thorough and informative. This enabled me to understand the type of injury I had sustained, and what the operation would entail to rectify the problem. He also had a website which provided further information and video footage surrounding the various types of knee injuries you could incur and what surgery would be required. This again helped put my mind at ease. I would strongly recommend the services of Mr Jamil and would happily return to the kneeconcultant team if I experience any further problems in the future.

Mr Jamil greeted me with courtesy and warmth. His explanations were easy to understand and he instilled confidence and trust in his skill in achieving the desired results. The outcome of total hip replacement to me has been so beneficial, pain removed and recovery period well supported. I got very lucky to be referred to him and am sincerely appreciative.

The surgery itself was fine and I didn't experience any severe pain after the procedure during recovery. My walking has improved following the hip replacement. After the operation, during my recovery in hospital, I did suffer some unpleasant dreams and delirium which I found very disturbing but understand that this can occur following an anaesthetic. I found Mr Jamil very genuine and he always tried to reassure me and put me at my ease. I would like to thank Mr Jamil for the procedure and his follow-up care.

From start to finish Mr Jamil has been amazing. Everything explained and done to an amazing standard. He made me feel like I was his only patient! I could not recommend him enough I am so pleased with the outcome of the treatment I received.

My experience of Mr Jamil was of a person who is very pleasant and who put me at my ease from the start of our first meeting. He encouraged me in my endeavours regarding daily exercise and weight loss. He explained in full the situation regarding my knee and said straight away that knee replacement would be the ultimate and only answer to the problems I was having. He did, however, encourage me to get the most out of my 'natural knee' before seeking surgery. I felt that I was in 'very capable hands'!

Following a total hip replacement on 3rd March 2020 I would like to thank Mr Jamil for his care. Mr Jamil displays a very relaxed and down to earth approach which put me at ease from our first meeting. Having agreed on surgery his waiting time estimate was very accurate. The whole experience has been first class (and virtually pain free) and I would happily recommend Mr Jamil for hip replacement surgery.
