Hand Therapist
General Physiotherapy

New appointment: £128
Follow-up appointment: £86

Rachel is a highly experienced Physiotherapist who qualified in 2002. Since graduating Rachel has pursued her passion for hand therapy and now has over 10 years experience as a hand therapist, both in the NHS and Private sector.

Her work has taken her from the north of England where she practiced for 6 years to London where she is now based.

She has managed recovery from various elective surgical procedures, including joint replacements, Dupuytrens excisions, carpel tunnel release and trigger finger release. She is also well-versed in managing rheumatological flare-ups.

Her practice also took her to the Royal Victoria Infirmary where she aided in the rehabilitation of with adult and children burn patients in a trauma and rehabilitation unit. Here she managed the assessment and treatment of complex multiple hand injuries from trauma and industrial accidents, grafts and flaps, amputations, reimplantations, nerve and tendon repairs and tendon transfers, as well as assessing and treating paediatric congenital conditions.

After working abroad for two years in the Middle East, she returned to work as a hand therapist in the private sector. She is always looking for different methods to help patients and her range of expertise has grown over the years. Her practice includes treating various work-related upper limb conditions, hyper-mobility and wrist conditions, as well as being a fully trained Acupuncturist.

This wide breadth of varied experience has given Rachel the skills to offer her patients the very best care in all aspects of upper limb therapy.

Rachel is a member of the British Association of Hand Therapy (BAHT) and Chartered Society of Physiotherapists.
