I booked an appointment after trying to convince my GPI s for four years that I was experiencing menopausal symptoms. They dismissed me as being too young, despite an early menopause family history, and offered me painkillers instead. At 44 1 felt like an old frump. Thank goodness friend gave me Sarah Hussein's telephone number. After only a few days wait I saw Miss Hussein, and within minutes of taking my history and listingto my symptoms Sarah assured me that I was right all along! The options open to me were explained in a friendly and informative way, and after an examination, and blood pressure check I decided to try HRT patches. Four months later I can report my life has totally changed, the bloating, hot flushes, night sweats, irritability, diarrhoea, migraines, sickness, tiredness and memory loss have gone. And I felt like myself again. Ladies listen to your own body, and see a recommended specialist.

I would like to write a few words to express my gratitude for the excellent care I have received from you and your team, both during consultation and on my stay in the hospital . From the first appointment, I have always felt informed of the reasons behind the tests and afterwards the diagnosis and proposed including options and choices .

I would like to say a very big thank you for ensuring that my surgery was a success. I am extremely grateful that your excellent surgical skills, which came into play during my unforeseen complicated surgery, prevented me from undergoing an abdominal hysterectomy!

I very much appreciated your perseverance in examining me, and carrying out the cervical smear and HPV test during my first visit to see you at The London Clinic on 20 March, and it was a relief to know that the results of these tests were negative. Thank you also very much for your understanding and clear advice regarding my condition, which was most helpful to me.

Experienced, knowledgeable! Mrs Hussain came recommended from a colleague who had a similar surgery with her so I felt relatively safe and I was not disappointed - would recommend to others
