About

Ms Clare Spencer is a highly trained and well educated Physiotherapist working in the London area. Having spent over a decade working as a Physiotherapist, Clare has a wealth of knowledge, experience and practice that she has gained from her work all over the globe with clients including national sports teams, GB Olympic Gold medalists, professional polo players and elite skiers.

After Graduating from Manchester University in 2003 with a Physiotherapy Degree, Clare began her career in Gloucestershire teaching hospitals, while also obtaining a Post Graduate qualification in Acupuncture, before finally progressing to Senior Physiotherapist for South Warwickshire hospitals in 2006. Here, she specialised in musculoskeletal outpatients and acupuncture before moving into private practice in 2008.

Clare has extensive experience working with elite athletes in various sports, including: skiing, football, rugby, and polo amongst many others. Various high profile clients include the likes of Coventry City Football club, Georgian National Rugby Team, London 7's at Twickenham, and the Cortium Polo Team (who went on to win Gold). Her work with these teams varied from immediate pitch side diagnosis and treatment through to advanced functional rehabilitation in the gym. In the lead up to the London 2012 Olympic Games, Clare worked closely with Team GB's Nick Skelton, who went on to win Olympic Gold in Team Showjumping.

Clare has extensive training and expertise in many areas of physiotherapy, including trauma and orthopaedics; neurology; neuromusculoskeletal outpatients and intensive care. She has also travelled extensively through Africa and China, providing her skills for free on a voluntary basis.

Clare uses an effective combination of Physiotherapy, Acupuncture, Pilates and the Chek approach to optimise patients' recovery. Her goal is to remove pain by treating the underlying dysfunction and restoring balance in the body to allow people to reach their full potential.

Clare put me at ease straight away. With her calming nature, she explained what it was that was wrong and explained exactly what she was going to do. She was friendly and professional at the same time and will not only go back but would highly recommend her.
