Professor Alain Fraisse is a Consultant Cardiologist and Director of the Paediatric Cardiology Service at the Royal Brompton Hospital. He specialised in Paediatric and Congenital Cardiology. He is currently a visiting Professor at Imperial College, London.
Professor Fraisse graduated in Medicine from Marseille University Hospital, France in 1986. He went on to do a Masters in Physiology and Fellowship in Intensive care. Following this, he undertook a Fellowship in Paediatric Cardiology at the Children's Hospital, Boston and further achieved a Doctorate in Respiratory Physiology from Marseille University Hospital. He was previously head of paediatric and congenital cardiology at La Timone Hospital Marseille from 2000 to 2014 and has been a Professor in Cardiology in France since 2005. Professor Fraisse moved to London in 2014 and developed a novel interventional catheterisation programme.
Outside his practice, Professor Fraisse has extensively published in international peer-reviewed journals focusing his work in imaging, pulmonary hypertension and interventional catheterisation.
