I was recommended to visit professor Bruce, and we were not disappointed. He listened to my concerns which I had previously been to my own GP about regarding my sons obstructive sleep apnea. Due to his enlarged tonsils & adenoids, prof Bruce confirmed surgery would be recommended to solve this issue. Fast forward 7 weeks from our first initial meeting, my son is day 10 post op. I can confirm all his post op symptoms have gone and recovery has gone well. The care and aftercare we have received is nothing short of fantastic! I would recommend this to anyone that is dealing with a child suffering with obstructive sleep apnea, as they do not need to continue suffering and neither do you. My son is only 2 1/2 & I was initially worried about the operation, prof Bruce highlighted the risks which are extremely low and reassured me he would be under the best care, which I believe he was. If I had the same issues with my next child I would 100% go down the same route.

I found our experience of Professor Bruce to be extremely positive. He put my 9 year old son at ease about his grommet procedure, and clearly explained all aspects and what to expect going forwards. I would not hesitate to recommend his care.

Professor Iain Bruce looked after my daughter in putting grommets into both of her ears. My daughter is very nervous and Iain comforted her and calmed her down each time he met her. All the surgery went well and we were well informed all the way throughout the process

Prof Bruce appeared highly competent at all stages of the process. He spared no detail in the explanation of the problem and how he was going to solve it. With our young son he was so kind and reassuring, and the experience for him was absolutely great - we were worried that he'd become scared of hospitals after needing an operation, but almost the opposite has happened and he's actually better now than before. With the procedure our son had we were intially told there might be a small scar, but Iain said he thought he could do it without one, and he was right!

Our son (age 2 years 10 months) had his hearing tested after speech delays which shown that he had glue ear with mild hearing loss as a result. The glue ear wasn't clearing on its own during the watch and wait period so we decided on grommets. We felt we wanted our son to see a specialist who was experienced in children's ENT issues and we felt confident going for a consultation with professor Bruce after reading his glowing reviews! He was thorough in checking our sons ears and explained everything to us in detail. He also gave us confidence that grommets was a good treatment choice. The audiologist Adam was exceptional. He was brilliant with our son and also at calming worried parents down! The insertion of the grommets went well and I'm so pleased that our sons hearing is now normal (this was tested and confirmed at his follow on appt a week after the insertion). He is already showing signs of hearing better such as singing little songs he hears on tv which is wonderful. All in all, I was dreading having my son anaesthetised and him having the Operation but Professor Bruce made the whole process seamless and everything went well. A big thank you to him and also everyone else involved, we're so pleased it's been a positive experience.
