Professor Pier Lambiase is a Consultant Cardiologist based in London, UK. Since graduating from the University of Oxford in 1992, he has undertaken extensive postgraduate training in cardiology and acquired a huge amount of clinical experience at prestigious hospitals across London, including St Thomas', Hammersmith, and St George's hospitals. The British Cardiac Society gave him the Young Investigator Award for his PhD in 2002, and he has gone on to develop a keen interest in heart failure, arrhythmias, and electrophysiology.
He was appointed a Consultant Cardiologist at the Heart Hospital, University College London, after completing his training in electrophysiology in 2006. His continued dedication to researching disturbances of the heart rhythm alongside his clinical postings resulted in him being named Reader in Cardiology in 2012, and then Professor of Cardiology in 2015. His passion for his specialist interests is visibly translated into his full-time roles, as seen by the nationally revered sudden arrhythmic death syndrome clinic he currently runs.
