My treatments include: ankle and big toe joint replacements, arthroscopic ankle surgery, disorders of the foot and ankle (podiatry).
I qualified as a doctor in 1981 and have since obtained an MD in 1983 and a PhD in Orthopaedics in 1991. I completed my orthopaedic training in the Wessex region after obtaining the FRCS (Orth) qualification culminating in a consultant position within Birmingham Heartlands and Solihull NHS Trust (Teaching) in 1999.
Part of my training involved taking part in visiting fellowship centres of excellence in Spain, Switzerland and the USA. Currently my practice is divided into general orthopaedics / trauma and my special interest being lower limb surgery, including ankle replacements.
My primary aim is to develop a comprehensive and multidisciplinary foot and ankle unit in the West Midlands which will be able to address even the most challenging pathologies.
Appointments are available at:
Spire Parkway Hospital; Monday evening, Tuesday evening & Wednesday morning
BMI Meriden Hospital; Friday lunchtime
